 Transcript of interview with @thebannanalibertarian  How did you get involved in the libertarian movement? Very slowly. I used to be a socially conservative and economically leftist moderate, and I think I slowly became a libertarian once I started realizing how useless the government really is. Eventually I started watching the Uncommon Knowledge interviews with Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell, and the rest is history. what made you want to start Bannana Libertarian I initially started the_banana_libertarian under the username nexuspolitics. I then realized nexus could be construed to mean marxist intersectionality, which is not something I wanted to promote so I changed it. The issue that compelled me to initially start the page was the US Libertarians lack of voting policy, outside of supporting ranked choice voting. When did you first become intrested in politics/philosiphy. 6th grade-ish. I was a big geography nerd, then I realized you can't really understand geography...

 The Youth Want To Work- They Just Cant  As of the beginning of 2024 outcry has emerged among taxpayers over the excessive use of the benefit system by young people. The outcry has been as expected from the baby boomers which is taking the easy route of blaming young people for being lazy and lacking discipline without actually  analysing the deeper problems affecting young people. We can see this reflected  by politicians who threaten to cart children off to there death in foreign wars.  who spout platitudes about getting young people back into work but never actually  do anything to allow that to occur for example freeing up the market and regulations which stop young people from getting into work and pursuing entrepreneurship. The  truth is young people do want to work in fact they want nothing more than to work. they want nothing more than to contribute to society in a strong and meaningful way on there own terms in a truly free and self sufficient...

 The Horrors Of War And The Psychopaths Who Fund It In Ukraine and the borderlands of Russia a bleak and depraved picture is emerging soldiers lie in wait for there next attack knowing that at any moment them and there  comrades could be blown to smithereens and they are completely unaware to the enemies  location due to ill trained intelligence and a general sense of apathy among Ukrainian soldiers and the enemy. Villages lay in ruins with the bodies of men women and children strung out along pavements and roads. The night sky is filled with no stars but shrapnel, bullets and the sound of screaming Russian men left to die by there government. Surrender on both sides is a common occurrence and soldiers as well as residents feel let down and  put upon by warfare and the states that sponsor it. Meanwhile in the Canadian parliament politicians wave Ukrainian flags and applaud a former SS member in a display of faux patriotism and a total disconnection from the reality o...

 Throughout the 1970s and 1960s much of the same resentment and anger we feel today was present although not in the form we see today. The 1970s and 60s saw the horrors of  the Vietnam war as well as the troubles in Northern Ireland. This created a generation of young people so over-exposed to warfare and the bloated arms of the state that it  created a ground swell the likes of which we have not seen for years although only  echoes remain in the present. In order to change attitudes it is vital that those people carry themselves in a way and speak in a way that offers an alternative to the prevailing culture. Thus in a way an inverse of it this of course lead to the counter culture movement which offered people a new perspective one of peace, civil rights and small government.  an antithesis to the prevailing culture of taxpayer subsidised warfare and puritanical  tyrants who believed that Marilyn Manson was responsible for school shootings.  The Stateless Newsletter was written with the express purpose of advocating for self-governance and minarchism through a range of policies and constitutions which would hand power away from the state and into peoples hands. When we say stateless we do not mean some sense of anarchy although some may consider it a form of anarchism. We really mean the dissolution of the state as an idea and a structure. The state in its original form seeks to control a huge plethora of cultures communities and nations in a centralised form. We believe it is not the state that makes a nation a nation rather its people its community and its culture. We champion replacing the state with a plethora of self governing styles such as county councils and devolved powers. We believe each community should have its own form of governance and in a way its own micro nation. We believe that no overarching structure should control the entire fore corners of the US and UK or any other nation rather the communities...

 As 2024 rolls in a new phenomena is taking hold. Something ive dubbed "the war on radicals". Throughout the 1990s and  earlier two thousands the war on terror was a well known government phenomenon. Regulations surrounding travel and speech  and the ever growing dominance of the military industrial complex became noticeable. From the protesters in london being  subject to arrest at the hands of the blair regime for speaking out against the tragedy that was the iraq war to millions of taxpayers dollars being sent to foreign lands in the US not to mention the tax subsidised weapons and defense corporations growing dramatically. In a sense the war on terror acheived its end goal which was and still is the advancement of state expansionism. What we see in the modern day has echoes of what occured throughout that period.
